The ERC has a vision of 1) training leaders in advanced fluid power technology and research through rigorous, speciailized graduate programs and continuing educction for industry, 2) ensuring that all undergraduate mechanical engineering students are exposed to basic concepts of fluid power in core engineering courses, 3) increasing opportunities for engineering students to gain hands-on knowledge of fluid power principles and applications through improved laboratory experiences and industrial internships, 4) providing increased education opportunties for underrepresented engineering students, 5) increasing public and K-12 student awareness of the importance of fluid power, and the excitement and possibilities that new technologies of the Center will bring.
